1. Ann Meyers Drysdale was born in San Diego on March 26, 1955.
2. Her father, Bob Meyers, was a guard at Marquette University and went on to play professionally in Milwaukee.

8. Meyers Drysdale has an Olympic silver medal from the 1976 Games in Montreal.
9. In 1979, she became only woman to sign a free-agent contract with an NBA teamâ€"the Indiana Pacers. However, she was cut from the final squad.
10. Meyers Drysdale signed on as a commentator for the Pacers, becoming one of the first female sportscasters.
11. In 1986, she married former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Don Drysdale, who suffered a fatal heart attack in 1993. Together they had three children.
12. The Drysdale's were the first couple to both have spots in their respective Halls of Fame.
13. She is currently the president and general manager of the Phoenix Mercury and vice president of the Indiana Pacers.
14. Her book: "You Let a Girl Beat You?: The Story of Ann Meyers Drysdale" was released in May.
