Jan 16, 2012 - The ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll is live for the week of Jan. 16, and there's shakeups all along it. There's new entrants in Illinois and Saint Mary's, while the top five sees three shakeups. The only constants on the top end are Syracuse, sitting at a perfect 19-0 at No. 1 and Kentucky, who sport a 17-1 record at No. 2. The former received all 31 of the first-place votes. Baylor, Duke and Missouri all round out the top five in that order, with the latter two being new entries as Ohio State and North Carolina fall out with more losses.
For the Indiana Hoosiers, any slip-up will send them falling down the list, They were dominating by the Ohio State Buckeyes, unable to beat them for the second time this season after upsetting them in the final seconds the first time the two team's played. They fell down from the top ten at No. 8 all the way down to No. 13.
Louisville once was in the top five on the list, but repeated losses to ranked competition has made them fall down the list. They're sitting at No. 21, down six spots from last week, and threatening to fall out altogether if they can't pick up their second win against ranked competition when they play Marquette on Monday. Marquette is sitting one spot below them at No. 22, and it would almost certainly mean Louisville's exit from the Top 25 if they were to lose.
