2012 NBA Draft Trades: Sacramento Kings Deal No. 36 Pick For Cash To ... - SB Nation

The Sacramento Kings seem to be satisfied when they picked Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson fifth overall in the 2012 NBA Draft. They're not taking anyone with their second round pick, as they dealt it to the Indiana Pacers for cash considerations. The Pacers just spent the number 36 pick drafting Orlando Johnson, a guard from UC Santa Barbara.

Shockingly, the Kings didn't get a draft pick back, or even future considerations, or some veteran player back. They received cash. Just cash. The joke almost writes itself here with regards to the Maloofs, who have pretty much kept themselves as close to the minimum salary cap as they could.
