The Hawkeyes have three players averaging double-figures, led by Preseason All-Big Ten Selection, Jaime Printy's 17.8 points and 4.2 assists per game. Point guard Kamille Wahlin averages 10.6 points and 3.8 assists while Morgan Johnson adds 15.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per outing. Iowa averages 74.0 points per game and is tops in the conference in free throw percentage at 82.5 percent on the year. The Hawkeyes are second in the Big Ten with an average of 6.8 three-pointers per game.

The Series
This is the 60th meeting between Purdue and Iowa in women's basketball, with the Boilermakers holding a 34-25 series edge. Purdue is 15-5 in the last 20 meetings and 8-2 in the last 10 games. The Boilermakers have won six of the last seven contests including the most recent, 60-41 on Feb. 2, 2011, in Mackey Arena when Iowa was ranked No. 20/22 and Purdue was unranked. Purdue holds an 19-9 advantage in West Lafayette. The last loss against the Hawkeyes was on Jan. 31, 2010, by a score of 70-50 in Iowa City.

Purdue Vs. The Big Ten Conference
The Boilermakers are 386-213 all time against teams in the Big Ten Conference. Purdue has a winning record against every conference opponent except Ohio State (26-39, .400) and Nebraska (0-0). The Boilermakers have the highest winning percentage vs. Michigan (48-15, .762), followed by Illinois (47-16, .746) and Wisconsin (44-17, .721). Purdue is 42-19 (.689) against Northwestern, 39-17 (.696) versus the Gophers, 47-25 (.653) when taking on instate rival Indiana and 25-15 (.625) against Penn State. Purdue has identical records against Iowa and Michigan State at 34-25 (.576).

Last Time Out
Rayburn tied an NCAA women's record with 12 three-pointers and scored 38 points to help No. 17/20 Purdue cruise to its seventh straight win. Rayburn was 12 for 16, all from beyond the arc, while KK Houser added 10 points and 10 assists for the Boilermakers, with six of the assists coming on Rayburn threes. With Rayburn knocking down her shots, the Big Ten's top defense did its part, creating 17 turnovers and holding Minnesota to 33 percent shooting.

Minnesota Notables
Purdue dished out 22 assists on 25 field goals and committed just 11 turnovers, for an assist to turnover ratio of 2:1. The Boilermakers made a school record 15 three-pointers, shooting .517 (15-of-29) from beyond the arc. All 16 of Rayburn's field goal attempts were three-pointers.

Last Time Vs. Iowa
Brittany Rayburn scored 23 points to lead Purdue past No. 20 Iowa 60-41 on Feb. 2, 2010. Rayburn made 4 of 5 three-point attempts. Courtney Moses had 12 points, a career-high nine rebounds and six assists for the Boilermakers. Kachine Alexander had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Hawkeyes, but she made just 3 of 14 field goals. Iowa entered the game averaging 71 points, but the Hawkeyes shot 22 percent from the field and scored a season-low point total in their worst loss of the season. Jaime Printy, Iowa's leading scorer at 15.8 points a game, finished with seven on 2-for-9 shooting. Alexander was the only Iowa player to reach double figures.

Next Up
The Boilermakers will travel to instate rival Indiana for a matchup that will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. ET.

The Barn
Apparently the Boilermakers like Williams Arena. Purdue's men's and women's basketball teams played at the Barn four days apart and each picked up double-digit victories. The teams combined for 56.8 percent (25-of-44) from beyond the arc in those wins. The men were 10-of-15 (.667) from three on Jan. 8, while the women made a school record 15 threes out of 29 attempts for .517 percent on Jan. 12.

One For The Record Books
Brittany Rayburn tied the NCAA Division I women's basketball record for three-point field goals with 12 at Minnesota. She equaled the mark set by Louisiana State's Cornelia Gayden in 1995. The 12 three-pointers are a Big Ten record, breaking the mark of 10 set by Indiana's Amy Cherubini (2/21/92) and Michigan State's Maxann Reese (1/29/99). It's also a Purdue record, eclipsing the previous best of seven threes achieved by Stephanie White (at Florida on Dec. 21, 1998) and Jodi Howell (twice - at Michigan State on Jan. 11. 2007 and at Michigan on Feb. 28, 2010). Rayburn's 38 points is third at Purdue for points in a game behind Katie Gearlds' 41 at Wisconsin on Feb. 18, 2007, and Shereka Wright's 40 at Michigan on Feb. 17, 2002. By the way, Rayburn also grabbed six rebounds and took two charges against the Gophers, bringing her season total for drawn charges to 18.

Houser Steps Up In Conference Play
In Purdue's conference games, KK Houser is averaging 14.5 points per game, over five points a game higher than her overall average. At Minnesota, Houser recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. She has led Purdue in scoring in two of the four conference matchups with 15 points at home against Minnesota and 17 points versus Wisconsin. The Lincoln, Neb., native also chipped in 16 points at Illinois. In the four Big Ten contests, Houser is shooting .476 (20-of-42) from the floor, including .533 (10-of-14) from three-point range, while averaging 5.3 assists and 2.8 steals (T-2nd in Big Ten).

Not Just A Rebounder Anymore
Sam Ostarello led the Boilermakers in rebounding as a freshman (5.0 rpg). As a junior, she averages a team-leading 7.9 rebounds per game, including 10.3 rebounds in conference play. She owns the fourth-highest rebounding average in the conference overall and third in Big Ten games. The Pierre, S.D., native has recorded double-digit rebounds in six games this season: a season-high 13 rebounds vs. Wisconsin, 10 boards vs. Tulane, Kansas State and Oakland and 12 rebounds against Texas A&M and at Minnesota. Ostarello's has recorded two double-doubles this season - 16 pts. and 10 reb. vs. Oakland and 12 pts. and 13 reb. against Wisconsin - and three in her career. Ostarello is Purdue's fourth leading scorer with an 8.1 ppg average, has the highest field goal percentage on the team (min. 10 attempts) at .480, and has 27 blocks this season, tying Chelsea Jones for team high.

Howard Provides Depth
Redshirt senior guard/forward Antionette Howard has found her rhythm this season, reaching double-figures four times since dropping 13 on Notre Dame on Dec. 10. Howard tied her season high with 13 points against Minnesota and following that up with 12 points versus Wisconsin. The Duluth, Ga., native has shot 50.0 percent or better from the field in four games of the last five games and is Purdue's third leading scorer in conference games with an average of 8.8 points per contest.
