WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The road doesn't get any easier for the Purdue men's basketball team, head coach Matt Painter and the Boilermakers head into Saturday's game in East Lansing against an angry ninth-ranked Michigan State team.

Michigan State has lost back to back games against Northwestern and Michigan heading into Saturday's noon game against the Boilermakers. Purdue has had recent success at the Breslin Center, winners of their last two games against the Spartans.

"I think it's another great test for us because we just won off of a loss and we know how it feels. Now they are coming back home like you said and they want to win so it is going to be a great test for us and see if we can handle adversity because we know that they are going to come out and give every thing they've got," said senior guard Lewis Jackson.

For the second time in the last 10 days the Boilermakers will be playing a team that is hungry for a victory. On January the 12th, Purdue faced a struggling Wisconsin team on Keady Court that had lost their last three games. The Badgers proceeded to snap Purdue's 26 game winning streak in a 67-62 Badger victory. The Boilers are up for another shot at extending a Big Ten Conference opponents losing streak.

"It's huge for us and I think it's something that we are going to have to turn around. I think the past couple of games we haven't started as well as we could have. To go in there into a hostile environment as the Breslin center is and play against a team that has their backs against the ropes. They have lost two here in a row and we have to be ready," said senior guard Ryne Smith.

Both the Spartans and the Boilermakers are 4-2 in the Big Ten Conference standings.
