Indiana Pacers Having Trouble Selling Playoff Tickets! - Gather.com

The Indiana Pacers have had a surprising turn of events this season; they are finally winning games. Not just any games, but competitive playoff games. Now they are just one game away from winning their first playoff series in seven years. The Pacers barely won their previous game against the magic after a crucial overtime period.

They almost blew a huge lead, but the team came together in the end, demonstrating their teamwork and determination. One of the Pacers stars, David West, stated, "We have a lot of confidence as a group in one another." The Pacers are playing very good basketball now with everyone on the team contributing together. Even with all the confidence in the organization, the Pacers still seem to have trouble filling seats.

As of Monday afternoon, 744 seats remain available for Tuesday's Game 5. Tickets are averaging out to only $38.52, with the cheapest listing available at $12 (balcony seat).

Ticket woes is not anything new for the Pacers, who offered 375 free pairs of seats for Game 2 just to fill the arena. Just six hours before tip-off for that game, more than 500 tickets were available. While the Heat and Knicks series is averaging out to $154 per ticket, the Pacers-Magic series is at a measly $27, the lowest among the eight first-round playoff series. Despite the low ticket prices and trouble filling up seats, attendance for the Pacers has grown over 600 fans-per-game from last season while merchandise sales are up forty percent.

The Pacers are getting better and better, and if they continue to develop and prove themselves to their fans, they should have no trouble filling their arena. At least this year, the Pacers are in the Playoffs.

With the Pacers having such low ticket sales, it must be hard to imagine how Michael Jordan's Bobcats must be doing?
