NBA Power Rankings: Pacers Debut At No. 7 - SB Nation

The Indiana Pacers are off to one of their best starts in recent memory, and the rest of the NBA is starting to take notice. SB Nation NBA guru Tom Ziller has seen the Pacers' 6-2 start and has them at No. 7 this week as he released his first NBA Power Rankings of the 2011-12 NBA season:

7. Indiana Pacers 6-2 W: NJ, BOS, CHA; L: MIA Indy Cornrows
The Pacers have looked pretty solid despite sub-spectacular contributions from David West. But man, that loss to the Heat was baaaaad.

Indiana has a chance to move up this week as they face No. 6 Philadelphia tonight in the City of Brotherly Love. one of Indiana's only concerns was a brutal loss last week at the Miami Heat, but with the way the Heat are playing they are going to do that to a lot of teams. Atlanta, Toronto, and Boston follow this week as it is another four game week, but Saturday should bring a good crowd as local high school and college stars JaJuan Johnson and E`Twaun Moore will play in their home state for the first time as professionals.
