2012 NFL Mock Draft: SB Nation Gives Colts Andrew Luck, As Expected - SB Nation

Even though the 2012 NFL Playoffs are in full swing, there's arguably just as much buzz about the 2012 NFL Draft with the regular season over and half of the teams having nothing to look forward to but said draft. It's a bit different this year either way though, as the Indianapolis Colts possess the first overall pick and, really, have sort of shaken off this "now on the clock," bit by leaking that they plan to draft Andrew Luck. Usually, there's some mystery behind the pick, and at least some arguable points against what most figure is the logical pick.

Not in this case, and that's why SB Nation has elected to maintain that course in their latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft:

Indianapolis Colts, Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford

Not much prediction required since Colts owner Jim Irsay said that the team would draft Luck with the first pick. There should never have been any doubts. Peyton Manning's future looks iffy. Luck gives Indianapolis a quarterback capable of dominating their division for another decade the way Manning did. Whoever ends up in the GM job here still has big task to replenish the roster, but this is a great start.

There's not much else to say about this that has't already been said. Luck is going to be the guy, and by all accounts the chances of the Colts drafting someone else are about as good as the chance they happen to misspell "Andrew Luck" as some other draft-eligible collegiate player on the little card. Nah, it's probably already printed and ready.
