Utah Jazz Off Season Recap
The Jazz took an active approach to this off season by taking Mo Williams off the Los Angeles Clippers’ hands.  Then moving Devin Harris, who hasn’t been good in who knows how long, to Atlanta for Marvin Williams.  Williams should get plenty of minutes at the small forward position for the Jazz.  Jeremy Evans, the reigning Slam Dunk Champion, resigned with the team for a price of $5.5 million over three years.  Randy Foye was signed, which seems to clutter the shooting guard position, but he can shoot the ball.  With names already in place like Gordon Heyward, Al Jefferson, Paul Milsap, and Derrick Favors, the Jazz can push along in the Western Conference.
I think they’re a playoff team if these guys can click together.  There’s definitely some talent on the team, and it’s a young team.  Maybe too young to make any noise in the Western Conference this year or next, but getting a veteran presence in there could do wonders.
Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz Match Up
These looks to be pretty even in the match up categories. You have Al Jefferson Roy Hibbert tangling in the post. Â Two guys that want to be on that elite level of center play. Â Two guys that are probably right there ready to make that leap and with a great next season will be in the talk of great centers in the NBA.
You want some highlight reels? Â Look for Jeremy Evans and Paul George to have some competition while out there in the game. Â Two guys that battled in the Slam Dunk Competition.
You want some tough play?  How about David West of the Pacers and Gordon Heyward of the Jazz?  Heyward always gets a great reaction here in Indianapolis  as he went to high school in Browsburg and college at Butler.  He’s a Hoosier, and you know Hoosiers love their basketball.
West can battle it out with Paul Milsap in the post as well.  Milsap is a guy that looked to be on the Pacers’ radar if they hadn’t landed West.
It’s going to be a tough series to predict, and I’ll go with the split on this one.  I think each team wins at home.
