One of the Indiana Pacers' two restricted free agents is definitely returning next season.
The Pacers have agreed to a five-year deal that will keep Indianapolis native George Hill in Indiana, according to a source.
Financial terms of the deal are unavailable at the moment.
Hill will sign his new contract once the NBAâs moratorium period ends on July 11.
The Pacers acquired Hill, who starred at Broad Ripple High School and IUPUI, from the San Antonio Spurs on draft night 2011.
Hill began last season coming off the bench at both guard positions. He moved into the starting point guard position late in the season when starter Darren Collison went down with an injury.
The Pacers won seven straight games with Hill as the starter. Collison eventually returned, but coach Frank Vogel announced that Hill would remain the starter the rest of the season.
Hill averaged 13.9 points and 5.3 assists in nine starts last season.
The Pacers still have one more restricted free agent issue to get resolved.
The Portland Trail Blazers offered center Roy Hibbert a five-year, $58-million contract on Sunday.
Hibbert is expected to sign the offer sheet on July 11. The Pacers will then have three days to decide if they want to match the offer.
