Pacers' Granger expected to start Game 6 - Chicago Tribune

Indianapolis, IN â€"

Despite a sprained left ankle, Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger is expected to start Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals with his team facing elimination against the Miami Heat.

Granger, the Pacers' leading scorer during the regular season, injured his ankle late in the second quarter of a Game 5 loss to the Heat. He tried to give it a go in the third, but went to the ground in pain after committing a foul on LeBron James just 2:11 into the second half.

At the time of his injury, Granger had 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting. He has made more headlines for his physical play this series than with his offensive production, as he is averaging 13.0 points over the first five games, five less than his season average.

If Granger is unable to play effectively, Indiana would most likely turn to Dahntay Jones or Leandro Barbosa to inherit his minutes.
