Indiana Fever select Georgia Tech's Sasha Goodlett with 11th pick in WNBA Draft - Indianapolis Star

The Indiana Fever, seeking help with rebounding, chose 6-5 center Sasha Goodlett of Georgia Tech with the 11th pick of today's WNBA draft.

Goodlett, 21, a native of Bolton, Miss., averaged 14.5 points and 7.7 rebounds as a senior and led Georgia Tech (26-9) to its first NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance. She was selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference second team and All-ACC tournament first team.

Goodlett played under Yellow Jackets coach MaChelle Joseph, whose career began as a player and assistant coach at Purdue under current Fever coach Lin Dunn.

Goodlett became just the second Georgia Tech player chosen in the first round. The other was Alex Montgomery at No. 10 last year by the New York Liberty.
