Jan 9, 2012 - It is still early in the season, but so far the Indiana Pacers have maanged to keep pace with the Chicago Bulls in the Central Division. Chicago has a half game lead with one more win than Indiana, but both are tied in the loss column with only two defeats.
Monday night the Pacers start a very busy week in Philadelphia against the 76ers. Philly is also off to a solid start, as they lead the Atlantic Division with a surprising 5-2 record. The 76ers are a game and a half of Boston and New York, who were expected to be the better teams in that Division this season.
The 76ers also did took this lead by starting the season with five straight road game, but they are now 2-0 at home after winning four straight overall. Indy Cornrows talks about how the Pacers are preparing for these busy weeks with limited practice time:
"We just kind of show up for the games and hope they know how to play," Vogel said, half jokingly prior to Saturday's game. "It is a big challenge, there's virtually no practice time and there's not going to be much practice time. You gotta learn off the tape, you gotta have a mentally tough approach and that's how you have to improve."
