Basketball is a big deal in Indiana, and anybody who's seen Hoosiers can attest to the state's passion for the sport at every level. The Indiana Pacers mascot Boomer shares that passion, apparently so much that he brings it to local high school games at a level the school courts aren't ready for.
On Friday night, Boomer visited the New Palestine-Triton Central high school game and performed at halftime. His flip and dunk off of a trampoline brought the crowd to its feet, but also unfortunately brought the rim to the ground, while shattering the rest of the backboard.
Left without a working hoop, the rest of the game had to be finished at the school's auxiliary gym. Check out the video of Boomer's dunk below.
