Colts Cut Ties With Defensive Line Coach John Teerlinck - SB Nation

The housecleaning continues for the Indianapolis Colts, who have been cutting long-time coaches since firing head coach Jim Caldwell. According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, the Colts have cut ties with defensive line coach John Teerlinck and defensive assistant Bill Teerlinck.

John Terrlinck has been the team's defensive line coach since 2002, and it's going to be odd to see him gone. The Colts have had a very strong defensive line with him at the helm, with players like Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis thriving under his coaching. Bill Terrlinck had been with the team since 2007.

Also of note is the fact that the Minnesota Vikings made the hire of Alan Williams as their defensive coordinator official on Thursday. Williams was the defensive backs coach of the Colts for a long time, but may have been out of a job regardless, as the unit struggled mightily to go along with the fact that the Colts are cleaning house.
