Indiana are desperate for a win after three straight losses in the conference, playing the Nittany Lions. Meanwhile Louisville and Bulter take on the worst teams in their conferences and Notre Dame faces the best team in the country.

Jan 20, 2012 - The Indiana Hoosiers have begun to fall mightily, just weeks after they toppled first and second ranked Kentucky and Ohio State in December. After starting their conference schedule at 3-1, the Hoosiers have dropped three straight games to Ohio State and two unranked competitors, including Wednesday's loss to the 2-5 Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Nebraska's losing streak has toppled them from the top of the Big 10 charts to 7th with a 3-4 record, and two of those losses came to teams below them on the table. They will get a chance to finally ring off a win against an opponent they've already defeated this year when 2-5 Penn State come to town on Sunday at noon. Indiana beat the Nittany Lions 88-82 back on January 8th, which at the time was their third straight conference victory.

The only positive for Notre Dame this weekend is that they'll be at home when the big orange machine that is the Syracuse Orange come in on Saturday at 6 PM. At 20-0, Syracuse are having the best year in their college's history and are the consensus first ranked team in the country. Notre Dame will need to ramp up some offense against the Orange if they want to pull the upset special of the weekend; Syracuse are averaging 80 points per game while the Irish are only at 68.

Louisville have a far easier time of it in Big East action than Notre Dame this weekend, facing the 0-6 Pittsburgh Panthers. They need a win to push themselves up the very competitive Big East, where they sit 11th overall right behind the Irish.

Butler are fading fast in the Horizon conference with the Milwaukee Panthers and Cleveland State Vikings dukeing it out for the conference lead with games in hand on the Bulldogs. Fortunately the Bulldogs have a draw against the worst team in the league on Saturday as they travel to Illinois to meet the 0-8 Loyola Ramblers. Currently riding a two game win streak, a win over the Ramblers will help generate momentum for Butler as they look forward to league leading Milwaukee next week.
