NBA Finals Game Two Preview - Always Miller Time

Let’s take a look at how both teams can win tonight’s game.

How Can Miami Heat win Game Two?

Well Lebron James had a strong effort in game one, but needs Dwayne Wade to have a stronger effort in this game.  If James and Wade are both playing good, this game goes to the Heat.  Chris Bosh needs to step up as much as he can as well.  The role players actually played well for Miami as Shane Battier hit some three’s and Mario Chalmers was attacking.  Oklahoma City will take that as long as Bosh and Wade aren’t performing up to their standards.  Miami needs to figure out what got them that 13 point lead and keep doing that.  I think they would be better suited to keep attacking the lane and making the big men of the Thunder work hard in that paint.  We all know Wade is the king of going into the lane, drawing contact, making the shot, and getting a free throw out of it.  If he does that a good portion of the game, even if he’s in attack mode, Miami can steal this game two.  Lebron James will have to continue to play as strong as he’s been playing in the playoffs.

How Can Oklahoma City Thunder win Game Two?

Just like in the first game, I think a calm collected Thunder team needs to come out from the start.  Don’t try to do too much at the beginning, which is what got them in a hole in the last game.  Kevin Durant turned it on when he needed to, but he might have to be on all game if the Thunder want to build a 2-0 lead in the Finals.  Russell Westbrook needs to be smart about his shot selections and make the right plays we we’ve seen him do. Once again, I think role players play a big part in this.  Nick Collison came off the bench and gave 8 points and 10 rebounds for the Thunder, which might not seem like that much going on.  But for he also brings an energy and gives that team confidence when he’s out there. I would also look for Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka to really control the paint on the defensive end.  Don’t allow easy baskets to Lebron James and Dwayne Wade.  If things are clicking this game as they were in the second half of game one, this one will go to the Thunder.
