Connecticut Sun at Indiana Fever preview - Indianapolis Star

Game preview: Indiana (5-4) is 0-2 against Connecticut (9-2) this season. The Fever lost at Connecticut on Tuesday, 88-85 in overtime. Kara Lawson scored 22 points for the Sun, while Katie Douglas led the Fever with 23 points and nine rebounds. Connecticut has the best record in the Eastern Conference. Indiana is three games behind.

Statistics and numbers: Connecticut has won two straight against the Fever for the first time since 2007. . . . Indiana is 10-13 against Connecticut at home. . . . The Sun lead the league with 85.5 ppg, but they also are No. 1 in turnovers at 14.9 per game.

Title IX night: The Fever are honoring former U.S. Sen. Birch Bayh, the Hoosier who is "the Father of Title IX," during a pregame ceremony tonight. Other dignitaries will be recognized at halftime and after the game.
