After winning what many considered to be its toughest series of the Big Ten season, the Purdue Boilermakers are getting all kinds of love from the college baseball pollsters today. Purdue has seen a move up in all three polls that have been released so far:
- Baseball America moves Purdue from No. 16 to No. 15.
- Perfect game gives Purdue its highest ranking ever at No. 8 and hails them as one of the biggest surprises of the entire college season. The Louisville Cardinals are also in their top 50 at No. 28, with the Indiana St. Sycamores moving to No. 39 from No. 48.
- The ESPN/USAToday Coaches Poll has Purdue at No. 13 this week, up from No. 16. Louisville sits at No. 23 in this poll, while Indiana State is tied for 31st with nine votes.
Purdue's Cameron Perkins was also named the Big Ten Player of the Week for his efforts at the plate gaainst Nebraska:

· Combined for an OPS of 1.275 to lead Purdue to a series win at Nebraska over the weekend
· Homered twice in the series-opener, including a two-run blast in the fifth that broke a 5-5 tie and put the Boilermakers ahead for good
· Drove in five runs and scored four times in the series, accounting for multiple runs or RBI in each game over the weekend
· Also went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a pair of RBI in a mid-week win over Illinois-Chicago
· Earns his second career weekly accolade
