Coach Frank Vogel Makes a Decision
Looks like George Hill will be the starting point guard for the Indiana Pacers and Darren Collison will come off the bench. Â George Hill has been a spark for this seven game win streak, and heâs earned the job for this. Â Heâs always a better defender than Collison, so I can see why for the playoffs it works better to start him. I just hope Collison is all right with this move, and his play isnât effected by it. With him coming off the bench, he could have more opportunities to score, and he should be able to get those guys on the second unit great chances to score as well.
Player of the Week
David West is my player of the week with his all around game working. Â He was definitely instrumental in two of the wins this week. But he just seems to bring a leadership quality that this team was missing. Â He looks to keep the guys together and really focused on whatâs going on. It almost helped when he went to stand up for Hill in that small fracas that broke out in the Milwaukee game. Â Thatâs the type of leadership you want to see at times. Â Keeping it under control, but showing that youâre going to stand up for your teammates.
Stat of the Week
Seven wins in a row is where the Pacers are right now, and they have a good shot at running the table with these last three games to expand it to ten wins. Â Who knows the last time this Pacers team has won that many in a row? Â Talk about momentum going into the playoffs. Â With a game on Wednesday and the playoffs starting on Saturday, that would be great momentum.
How about one loss in the month of April coming to the Celtics on a back to back with the night before win against the Oklahoma City Thunder? Â The Pacers look to be firing on all cylinders and they look ready for a playoff run. Â The question is are the fans ready for this?
