Crawfordsville, Ind. - DePauw shot 58 percent in the second half and hit 4-of-7 three-pointers in the final 20 minutes and knocked off 14th-ranked Wabash by a 64-55 score.
The Tigers improved to 9-5 overall and 3-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while the Little Giants dropped to 12-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
Neither team managed more than a three-point lead in a first half which saw five ties and 14 lead changes. Wabash took a 28-27 lead into the intermission.
The score was tied at 32-32 in the opening two minutes of the second half before Kevin Sullivan hit a jumper, Sean Haseley followed with a three and Barry Flynn added a layup to give DePauw a 39-32 lead.
The Little Giants cut the lead to 41-40 with a 6-0 run, but the Tigers pushed the margin back to seven as Haseley nailed a pair of threes on consecutive possessions.
Wabash again closed to within one after scoring six straight capped by Aaron Zinnrman's two free throws with 4:29 left. Alex Payne's layup followed by Michael Wilkison's two free throws pushed the Tigers' lead to 53-48 with 3:31 remaining.
Brian Shelbourne's bucket with 1:43 left closed DePauw's lead to 57-53, but Wilkison and Alex Payne each hit two free throws to make it 61-53.
Flynn led DePauw with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Wilkison and Haseley each added 14. Kevin Sullivan dished out fur assists in the win.
Derek Bailey paced Wabash with 17 points wiht Zinnerman adding 13 and Shelbourne 12. Zinnerman and Pete Nicksic each totaled five rebounds and Houston Hodges dished out five assists.
The Tigers shot 52.4 percent from the floor and hit 7-of-14 from three-point range, while Wabash hit 42.9 percent and just 1-of-15 from three-point range.
DePauw hosts 16th-ranked College of Wooster on Saturday at 3 p.m.
