The Indiana Pacers face the Sacramento Kings, the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers in a California road trip this week.

Jan 16, 2012 - The Indiana Pacers have a good chance to add to their very impressive 9-3 record this week as they take a week long roadtrip down to California to face pretty much everyone in the state except the Clippers.

The Pacers start their trip on Wednesday up at Sacramento where despite having some decent talent like Demarcus Cousins, they've been making a habit of getting absolutely blown out of the water lately by pretty much everybody. This is despite firing their old coach and they've been just as bad at home as they have on the road at times; Indiana should find their trip enjoyable to Sacramento. The game will be at 10 PM EST.

The games get a bit harder from that point, as the Pacers travel south a bit on Friday to face the Golden State Warriors, who are fresh off a win against the Detroit Pistons. Then again, just before that they were creamed by the Charlotte Bobcats, making it hard to get a good read on the Warriors. Sunday comes the big game of the California roadtrip, as the Pacers hit the Staples Center to meet the Los Angeles Lakers. It's not the best time to face the 9-5 Lakers with Kobe Bryant on the hot streak to end all hot streaks, but the Pacers have shown some mettle this year and it will at the very least be an entertaining game.

Though the Bulls currently have a stranglehold on the Central with a 12-2 record, the Pacers can certainly gain some ground with a strong showing in sunny California. At the very least, they'll come back with some mighty fine tans.
