Urban Meyer hasn't even coached a game for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but teams like the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and other powerhouses should be worried about the potential of their future programs.

Meyer has always been one of the best recruiters in the game, and his past accomplishments show that. He has always been able to create elite programs, and players are going to want to join the party.

As the head coach of the Utah Utes, Meyer claimed back-to-back Mountain West Conference championships, to only improve upon that by winning two BCS titles with the Florida Gators in 2006 and 2008.

When players are getting recruited by him, they have a guy on the other side of the phone, table or wherever they may be who has a record that screams success.

Including those two bowl games, Meyer has gone 7-1 in bowl appearances. One of those was the Fiesta Bowl back in 2004 when he was with the Utes, while the other was in 2009 with the Gators when they won the Sugar Bowl.

Meyer's worst year was his last, but that doesn't mean that he won't be able to continue to do what he had done for so many years.

He has already brought in a ton of huge recruits, sky rocketing the team to No. 7 overall in the current rankings for recruiting classes. If he is able to steal current verbal commit Taylor Decker from the Fighting Irish, Meyer will just prove how strong he can be year-in and year-out with his recruiting efforts.

The Buckeyes have a lot of good things going for them, despite the fallout from the Jim Tressel and Terrell Pryor situation. They now have perhaps an even great coach than what they had before, and they will be able put this program back on the map a lot sooner than many had likely thought.

Meyer is hungry to win, and his recruits are going to see that.

All he needs to do now is show them what they can accomplish under his lead. If it echoes anything like his past success with the Gators and Utes, this team will only bring in bigger and better recruiting classes each year.
