Jim Tressel Possibly Colts Leading Candidate, According To Tony Dungy. - SB Nation

The Indianapolis Colts recently fired coach Jim Caldwell and have been quickly seeking a replacement. Former Colts head coach Tony Dungy appeared on the Dan Patrick Show on Monday morning and said something very intriguing about the current head coaching search for the Colts.

"I think Jim Irsay has his man in mind. It may be Jim Tressel, that's what I'm hearing."

The former Ohio State head coach was said to be interviewing with the Colts earlier in the week and now looks to be the favorite if Dungy's unconfirmed words are true. This is an interesting development considering there was a rumor earlier in the week that Tressel would NOT be the Colts new head coach from Mike Freeman at CBS Sports:

There was a report the Indianapolis Colts are at least considering disgraced former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel as head coach, who is on the Indianapolis staff as a gameday consultant. I checked with a Colts source and he said this: "No way in hell."

It will be very interesting to see where this story progresses.
