The Indiana Pacers (8-3) look to win their third straight game on Saturday night when they host the Boston Celtics (4-6) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
After a strong win over Atlanta on Wednesday, the Pacers had to grind their way back from an early deficit on Friday to sneak out of Toronto with a win. Continuing that trend against the Celtics will leave the Pacers feeling positive as they enjoy a rare three off days before their only West Coast road trip begins on Wednesday.
The Celtics are sure to be surly when they take the floor at the Fieldhouse as they work through a three-game home losing streak that started eight days ago when the Pacers beat them on the parquet 87-74. The Celtics suffered a tough loss last night as the Chicago Bulls led from the opening tip. The C's can only take solace in the fact that they trimmed an early double-digit deficit to one point in the fourth quarter until Derrick Rose took over and put Chicago back in control.
Ray Allen leads the Celtics in scoring with 18.7 points per game while Rajon Rondo makes the C's go with 15.6 points and 10.2 assists per game. Danny Granger should be fresh and ready to go after getting tossed early last night in Toronto. Granger leads the balanced Pacers attack with 14.7 points per game.
