Indiana Vs. Penn State: Hoosiers Look To Continue Winning Ways On Road - SB Nation

The No. 12 Indiana Hoosiers (14-1, 2-1) have made their home court at Assembly Hall a nightmare for opponents regardless of ranking. Just ask Kentucky and Ohio State.

The next step for the resurgent Hoosiers is to log some wins on the road in Big Ten play. Their only loss this season came on the road against a stout Michigan State team, a loss that gave any doubters of Hoosiers' strong, early-season performance something to point toward.

On Saturday afternoon, the Hoosiers have a chance to take their winning act on the road again when they play at the Penn State Nittany Lions (9-7, 1-2). Beating Penn State would snap a 16-game losing streak on the road in the Big Ten for Indiana.

Indiana will rely on their energetic defense that Victor Oladipo seems to ignite each game, while continuing to spread the wealth on the offensive end where they boast five player averaging double figures led by Cody Zeller (14.5 ppg) and Christian Watford (13.7 ppg).

Penn State has struggled for much of the young season but showed in their last game that teams need to take them seriously at home. After dropping their first to Big Ten games on the road, the Nittany Lions returned home to crush Purdue 65-45 riding a big effort from forward Billy Oliver who knocked down seven three-pointers in the game. Junior guard Tim Frazier leads Penn State with 17.1 points per game.

The game tips off at 12:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
