Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert and point guard George Hill, both of whom were free agents but came back to the team, said at a news conference today that they have "unfinished business" in Indianapolis.
"Both Roy and George wanted to be in Indiana," Pacers president Donnie Walsh said. "That didn't stop (their agents) from a tough negotiation. But it was always fair. ... This keeps our group together. We hope we've added some players who'll make us a better team."
Hibbert, an All-Star last season, averaged 12.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
He signed a four-year, $58-million contract.
"I'm extremely happy to be back," Hibbert said. "We're going to get to work and go even further than we went last year."
Hill became a starter at point guard last season after replacing injured Darren Collison. Hill played well enough to remain the starter after Collison returned. Earlier this week, the Pacers traded Collison to Dallas.
Hill's contract is for five years and $40 million.
Hill, who is from Indianapolis, said, "I wanted to stay close to my family. I've always been a hometown kid."
This story will be updated later in the day.
