NBA Finals Game Three Preview - Always Miller Time

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Miami Heat

(Series Tied 1-1)

How Miami Wins the Game

Miami can definitely win this game if their big three, James, Wade and Bosh, play like they did in game two.  Putting up 72 out of the 100 points that the Heat scored is going to put the other team in a bind.  If Shane Battier continues to play well, that will only help the cause of the big three.  And having the next three games at home can really put a clamp on these Finals if the Heat are able to hold serve at home.

How can Oklahoma City Win the Game

The Thunder have to come out and start strong.  In the first two games, they were down by double digits early and in most of game two, they were down by that margin.  That’s going to be tough to have to keep coming back like that.  Especially if the Heat are on, like they have been.  Russell Westbrook is going to have to be smart about his decisions and look for good shots.  Also, he’ll need to be looking for teammates and put them in great positions to score.  Kevin Durant is going to have to go out and play like he did in the fourth quarter of game one.  But that effort needs to be there for the whole game.  I think he’s slowly developing that killer instinct that big time players have, and now would be the time to unleash it.

Prediction

Even though I have the Thunder winning this series, I think the Heat win this game since they do have the momentum of that game two win and playing at home for the next three games.  If they start out the game like they have been, it might be lights out early for the Thunder.  I hate even predicting this, but I’m going with a Heat win by double figures.  Hopefully, the Thunder prove me wrong.
