Well Miami did what they set out to do two summers ago when Lebron James took his talents to South Beach, they won a title.  Now that weight is off Lebron and he can go off to win more if he can.  Hard to believe this is the second title for the Heat team in about 6 years.  It’s Dwayne Wade’s second title as well.
There was definitely pressure on the Heat if they didn’t finish the job this year.  I think it was NBA title or bust for Miami.  Who knows what would happen if the Heat didn’t win the title?
That’s all gone now, and I believe Coach Erik Spolstra is back next season, which didn’t look like it could be after some games.  The Big Three will be back at full strength next season, which yet again people brought up the possibility of breaking up this team next year.  Miami should be right back on top next season, especially if the Bulls will be without Derrick Rose for a good portion of the season.
Even looking over the regular season of the Heat, it’s hard to believe why they got so scruntized, when they only encountered one losing streak of three games.  They did have some back to back losses, but this team performed well throughout the season and really made it tough for Eastern Conference teams.
Lebron James had the best year of his career, and went on to win the regular season and NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award. Â There was no doubt he deserved to win both. Â I thought he really came up big in the playoffs. Â That series against the Pacers is when he just turned it on, and got that whole Miami team moving in the right direction.
Dwayne Wade was willing to step aside so Lebron could do what he did, and that’s worked out best for the team.  Last time the Heat won the title, it was Wade stepping up and doing all he could to will the Heat to that title.  He played well alongside James, but it does look like Lebron is taking this Heat team for his own.
The Heat kept talking about losing last year’s Finals, and how that wouldn’t happen again.  Well after game one, the Heat made sure that didn’t happen as they were able to rattle off four straight wins and a decisive win in game five to put away the Thunder team that they might end up seeing again next year if both teams can make it to the Finals.  Now the Lebron has won one, it’s time to win number two, number three, number four.  He did say Not seven right?
