WNBA preview: Indiana Fever at Chicago Sky - Indianapolis Star

Fever at Sky

Tipoff: 8:30 p.m. today, Allstate Arena, Rosemont, Ill.

Radio: None.

Webcast: Feverbasketball.com.

Game preview: Chicago (1-0) was 2-11 against Indiana (1-0) in its first three seasons, but this is a much-improved Sky team. U.S. Olympic C Sylvia Fowles had 23 points and 12 rebounds in the Sky's 69-57 opening victory at Washington. The Sky added four veterans -- Swin Cash, Ruth Riley, Ticha Penicheiro and Le'coe Willingham -- who have combined for eight WNBA championships. Fever C Tammy Sutton-Brown missed her team's 92-84 win in the opener versus Atlanta because of a sprained ankle and is listed as day-to-day.

By the numbers: Katie Douglas needs four points to reach 2,000 in her Fever career. The only other Fever player to score that many is Tamika Catchings. Overall, Douglas (4,574) is 13th in WNBA history and Catchings (5,192) is sixth.
