Indiana Pacers guards Paul George and George Hill are challenging their fans ... - Indianapolis Star

Indiana Pacers guards Paul George and George Hill are challenging their fans.

They want to see more Pacers fans in the seats of Bankers Life Fieldhouse for tonight’s Game 3 against Miami than Heat fans.

For years, the Pacers would get a rare sellout because there would be a lot of fans dressed in the opponent's team colors rooting for players like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce.

The Pacers want to make that a thing of the past.

“We’re thinking we’re an up and coming (team), we’re positive role models for the community,” Hill said. “We think we should have this place jammed packed with a lot of mustard (Pacers fans), than ketchup (Heat fans).”

George said he thinks the fan support from the Orlando series last round will carry over to this series.

“Me and George were joking earlier, we want to see how many Miami fans will show up because there have been a lot of Miami fans in previous games,” George said. “But I think our fans did a great job of supporting us in the Orlando series. I think they’ll be even more pumped to watch us play against.”

The series is tied 1-1.
