Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel finished third in the voting for the NBA's Coach of the Year Award.

May 1, 2012 - On Tuesday morning, the NBA officially announced the winner and finalists of the 2012 season's Coach of the Year. Indiana Pacers head man, Frank Vogel finished third in the voting behind Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau and the winner, San Antonio Spurs' coach Gregg Popovich.

While Vogel wasn't given the award, the Pacers' success this season speaks louder than any piece of hardware ever could. In only his first year in the NBA, Vogel led Indiana to their best finish since the 2004 season assembling a final record of 42-24, which placed the team in the third seed in the Eastern Conference as well as the fifth best record in the league.

Vogel received seven first place votes for the award, which is voted on by the media.
