CBSSports.com is reporting that Larry Bird is ready to step aside as president of the Indiana Pacers, but the NBA legend says his mind still isn't made up.
"Once again, no decision has been made," Bird told the Indianapolis Star. "I'll sit down with my owner at the end of the season and we'll talk about things."
The CBS story cited sources that say Bird has told Pacers owner Herb Simon to begin preparing for his departure and said he was "100%" certain it was time to step aside.
Bird, 55, has an agreement to remain president through the end of this season, Indiana's best in several years. Bird has been the Pacers' president since 2003.
