Indiana Pacers Bounce Back Against Toronto Raptors - Rant Sports

The Indiana Pacers have defeated the Toronto Raptors twice this season, and five times straight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indiana. Coming off a season-low 72 points in a home loss against the Boston Celtics, Indiana was looking to refrain from falling into a trap against Toronto on Monday night.

Last month, Indiana made a trade with Toronto for veteran guard, Leandro Barbosa, for a second-round pick. The Pacers are 9-4 since acquiring Barbosa, who has been a speedy spark plug coming off the Indiana bench. Barbosa, playing his first game against his old team this season, did not score in the first half on Monday night, but did score a quick five points to end the third quarter.

The Raptors went on a 9-0 run in the fourth quarter, cutting the Indiana lead down from double digits, to make it a one-possession game. The Raptors went on a 17-4 run to start the fourth quarter, but Indiana held Toronto off, thanks in part to a strong show by Barbosa and George Hill. Hill, who started the game in place of point guard Darren Collison (sore groin), scored 11 points in the game’s first half. Hill had 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists for his first game in the starting lineup this season. Barbosa scored 14 points in 22:00 of play, helping his new team to a 103-98 victory over his former team.

The Indiana win was their third over Toronto this season. The Pacers swept the season series against the Raptors, winning each game by exactly five points.
