Indiana Football: Cream Beats Crimson 19-16 In Spring Game - SB Nation

The Indiana Hoosiers were in action on Saturday, if you didn't know. The school hosted its annual Cream and Crimson game, in which the Cream squad bested the Crimson squad by a score of 19-16. Among the most interesting things to watch for during the game was the performance of sophomore quarterback Tre Roberson. He became the starter in the 2011 season, and scored on a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Cameron Coffman had a decent day for Crimson though, and could make things interesting in the quarterback battle (if there is indeed a quarterback battle). That's definitely something to keep an eye on in the future, but for now, the big story was running back Isaiah Roundtree, who rushed for two touchdowns on the day for the Crimson team.

Roundtree had a 63-yard scamper for a touchdown and is hoping to have a big year after having to sit out last year. Unfortunately, he's been mostly absent this spring with an injury, and Indiana coach Kevin Wilson hasn't been totally satisfied with what he's seen, though that's more likely to do with the inactivity rather than lacking production when Roundtree is actually on the field.

Kicker Mitch Ewald handled field goals for both teams and went 5-for-7, with four of them coming from the Cream squad. The defense had a good day at the goal line, so Ewald had quite the workout. The Cream and Crimson game concludes the spring activities for the Hoosiers. The game was actually moved indoors due to heavy rain, but the university was still able to accommodate all of the fans.
