The No. 1 Syracuse Orange (20-0, 7-0) look to remain unbeaten when they visit the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (11-8, 3-3) at the Joyce Center which has history of sending top ranked teams home with a loss.
The dynamic Orange attack looking to keep rolling in the Big East on Saturday are led by forward Kris Joseph with 13.6 points per game while guards Dion Waiters (13.0 ppg) and Brandon Triche (10 ppg) fuel the Orange at both ends of the floor.
Notre Dame continues battling through the season without leading scorer Tim Abromaitis with guard Eric Atkins leading the Irish with 13.3 points per game and fellow guard Jerian Grant adding 12.8 points. The Fighting Irish will look to add to the basketball program's legend of taking down number one ranked teams that visit South Bend.
Notre Dame has taken down seven top ranked teams over the years, most famously in 1974 when the Fighting Irish ended UCLA's 88-game winning streak with the upset at the Joyce Center. Notre Dame is due for another magical upset since they haven't upset a top team since beating North Carolina in 1987.
The game tips off at 6:00 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN.
