Dec 31, 2011 - The Butler Bulldogs lead the Milwaukee Panthers 26-25 at halftime at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

The Panthers started the game on a 7-0 run and the Bulldogs did not score until more than five minutes had elapsed, but the Bulldogs have locked down defensively to take a slim lead.

Chrishawn Hopkins leads Butler with 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals off the bench while Ronald Nored has chipped in with 5 points and 2 steals.

Milwaukee (10-4) leads the Horizon League with a 3-0 record, while Butler (7-7) enters the game at 1-1 in conference play.

Last season, the Panthers won the Horizon League regular season title and beat the Bulldogs twice in the regular season. However, the Bulldogs beat the Panthers 59-44 in the conference championship in Milwaukee and then went on to reach the National Championship, where they lost to the Connecticut Huskies.
