Butler Vs. Loyola Chicago Final Score: Nored Leads Bulldogs to 63-57 Win - SB Nation

Ronald Nored ran the show as the Butler Bulldogs (12-9, 6-3) completed their trip to Chicago with a 63-57 win over the Loyola Chicago Ramblers (5-14, 0-9).

Despite the 0-9 Horizon League record, Loyola Chicago gave Butler all they could handle but the Bulldogs responded to every challenge and now hover a game behind conference lead Valparaiso in the standings.

Nored played nearly the whole game which indicates how big coach Brad Stevens considered this road game as well as how well Nored was playing. The senior guard finished with 16 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals in an impressive performance. Even more impressive is the fact that Nored knocked down all eight of his free throw attempts in the game. Free throws have been a challenge all season for Nored who entered the game shooting just 61% from the charity stripe.

Center Andrew Smith added a double-double for Butler with 12 points and 13 rebounds while Khyle Marshall pitched in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Loyola Chicago was led by forward Walt Gibler and guard Joe Crisman who each put up 14 points.

Butler heads back out on the road this week as they head to Wisconsin to take on UW-Milwaukee and UW-Green Bay.
